Private Sector Development and SME Support in EU External Aid Programmes
Sector seminars are organized in Brussel by EU Member states two or three times a year and are focused on one specific sector at a time. The first sector seminar was held in 1998. At present Permanent Representations and Trade Promotion Organizations from 18 Member States are involved in the organization of the Sector seminars. Three Member States (in a rotating order) are responsible for the logistics of each seminar, while the other countries are responsible for inviting and registering companies of their own nationality.
The next seminar will be focused on PRIVATE SECTOR DEVELOPMENT AND SME SUPPORT IN EU
EXTERNAL AID PROGRAMMES and will take place in premises of Le Plaza Brussels Hotel.
Programme topics will include:
- Guidelines on Participation in EU External Aid Programmes
- Opportunities for the Private Sector
- Policy Trends on Support for the Private Sector
- Opportunities for the Private Sector in Pre-Accession countries: The case of Turkey, Company Case Study
- Individual meetings between participating companies
